The morning featured a meeting of the Tropical Americas and Caribbean (TAC) Ocean Decade Task Force, which gathered regional partners to define next steps for implementing the TAC Roadmap’s regional priorities through coordinated action and funding strategies.

The Fisheries Management session explored co-management experiences, offshore wind-fisheries interactions, and the evolution of fisheries governance in the Caribbean.

In the Marine Protected Areas session, presenters showcased innovations from Colombia, Bonaire, Cuba, and beyond—spanning coral restoration, participatory monitoring, and spatial planning.

Afternoon discussions turned to Governance, featuring presentations on the Wider Caribbean Ocean Coordination Mechanism and a call for collective action from regional institutions.

Parallel events included the Third Meeting of MPA Networks (UNEP-CEP) and the Fishers Field Trip, strengthening collaboration between practitioners and policymakers.
