The IOC Executive Council, consisting of 40 Member States, meets immediately before the opening of each ordinary session of the Assembly. At that session, it acts as the Steering Committee. One of these functions is to make proposals to the Assembly on the composition of the Nominations Committee and the Resolutions Committee. 

 

At this session, the Council will deliberate on the nominations for the post of IOC Executive Secretary in a closed session.
