Summary

The Inception Workshop and First Steering Committee meeting of the PROCARIBE+ Project are scheduled to take place from February 19 to February 21, 2024, in Cartagena, Colombia. The meeting will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing virtual participation for those unable to attend in person.

The session agenda will prioritize critical issues that demand attention, guidance, and adoption from PROCARIBE+ Steering Committee members. Following a comprehensive overview of the PROCARIBE+ project, the session will delve into Project Governance and Management Arrangements, elucidating the roles and responsibilities of the various project involved stakeholders.

The meeting will then address the proposed way Forward for the project implementation, involving a thorough review and adoption of project key elements (e.g. project multi-year work plan and budget , 2024 implementation plan). Discussions will extend to monitoring and reporting requirements and Social and Environmental Safeguards, exploring various approaches and tools, with the aim of reaching agreements on relevant documents.
