Resumen
The 2022 United Nations Ocean Conference (Lisbon, 27 June - 1 July), co-hosted by the Governments of Kenya and Portugal, comes at a critical time as the world is seeking to address many of the deep-rooted problems of our societies laid bare by the COVID-19 pandemic.
To mobilize action around Sustainable Development Goal 14 on the ocean and to address some of the most defining issues of our time that the 2030 Agenda aims to tackle, from climate change to economic inequality, the Conference will seek to propel much needed science-based innovative solutions aimed at starting a new chapter of global ocean action.
Join this information session for an in-depth overview of the 2022 UN Ocean Conference, focused on the opportunities for UNESCO and UN Member States to mobilize forces, resources, and promote existing and new ocean initiatives during this key global summit.
