Interim Decade Advisory Board Meeting
06 - 08
Resumen
The only possibility to move from the ‘ocean we have’ to the ‘ocean we want’ is to convince governments, decision makers, funders, scientists from natural and social science disciplines including humanities, and the society at large that the world requires a transformational, large-scale, adequately resourced, innovative campaign to mainstream ocean science.
To reach this objective, the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development has been launched in January 2021. In the framework of the Decade, a wide range of partners will implement endorsed Decade Actions (through programmes, projects or activities) over the next ten years.
To select and exchange views on the Decade actions submitted, the first meeting of the Interim Decade Advisory Board will be held as a virtual meeting on 6-8 April, 2021 (13h to 16h CET). The Decade Advisory Board will provide strategic advice on the Decade implementation plan and make recommendations for endorsement of Decade programmes.
