Information Session about the IOC-FAO Intergovernmental Panel on Harmful Algal Blooms (IPHAB) on 27 October at 10.00 am CET.

The open information session aims to provide an overview of the Panel's mandate, objectives, and activities, highlighting its role in supporting FAO and IOC Members in addressing the impacts of harmful algal blooms through scientific cooperation, capacity development, and information exchange.

The purpose of the open session is also to raise awareness among FAO and IOC Member States about the work and value of IPHAB, encourage additional Members to nominate representatives to the Panel, and promote participation in the next face-to-face IPHAB Session, which will take place in March 2027 in Rome.
