The Marine Affairs Program invites Caribbean Nationals from Commonwealth Countries to apply for the QES Diamond Jubilee Scholarship to attend the Master of Marine Management degree program at Dalhousie University. One fully funded scholarship will be awarded for September 2016 and September 2017.
The Master of Marine Management (MMM) is a 16 month intensive interdisciplinary professional degree program designed for graduate who want to address solutions of marine management problems with interdisciplinary synthesis and integration through teamwork in research and planning. The MMM graduate is equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitude required to function as a manager who is mindful of the complementary and competing multi- and inter-disciplinary interested that influence the design, implementation and outcome of the management process in marine affairs.
Applicants to the MMM must satisfy general requirements for admission to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. These include a 4 year Honours Bachelor's Degree from a university of recognized standing with a minimum average of B (3.0 GPA, 72% or Second Class Honours, Upper Division). In some cases, additional university education may be required. Selection criteria include an essay demonstrating interdisciplinarity, relevant work experience, and career objectives.
